Abu Saied Haj Mirza Mohammad Ibrahim Khorasani, nicknamed
Mushtari, was one of the grandchildren of the well-known historian
and the high-ranking agent of the Safavid era, Mirza Mohammad
Taher Qazvini. Abu Saied was born in 1264 AH near Astan Quds
Razavi. He was a six-year-old child when he moved to Tehran with
his parents and developed his literary taste and poetic talent from
an early age under the supervision of the famous Qajar-era orator,
Mirza Mohammad Ali Soroush Isfahani (who was educated under
the supervision of Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Baqir Shafti). He
avoided the extreme atmosphere created by his contemporaries
through praising courtiers; he also used to criticize and condemn the
flatterers. He left a poetic legacy. This talented writer had the success
of praying and doing remembrance and pilgrimage in an Arbaʽein
ceremony near the tomb of Imam Hussein (AS). Then, he enjoyed
the fresh atmosphere of the shrine of Karbala, stayed in Kazimayn,
and then went to Samarra. He recorded these inspiring and perfect
programs in the form of prose reports and delicate poems, and
presented them to readers.
