AbstractIn this research, an attempt has been made to provide an acceptable analysis and explanation for the entrance of Turkish words into Persian through the examination of a reliable text, i.e., the book "Dastur-e Shahriaran", which an important text of the Safavid period. Texts of the type mentioned, in addition to their historical value, are also important in terms of linguistics, since by studying them, important information about the condition of the Persian and other languages spoken in Iran, during the period of their writing, can be obtained. This research shows that Turkish words have entered the Persian in mass in some areas, and their use in Persian continued until about a hundred years ago. Turkish words entered into Persian have expressed a considerable range of political, military, governance, etc. concepts. Different reasons can be listed for the widespread use of Turkish words in Persian, including the long-standing ties of Iranian people with Turkic peple, the long-term contact between Persian and Turkish, Iran's relations with its Turkic-speaking neighbors, and the rule of Turkic-speaking dynasties over Iran. As a result of the changes that have occurred in Iran in the last century, a large number of the Turkish words entered into Persian have gradually become archaic and less common.
