در گذشته سازمانها و شرکتها گسترش آن چنانی نداشتند و امور مالی با خودکار و کاغذ و چرتکه به انجام میرسید. امروزه با توجه به گسترش امور مالی سازمانها، تکنولوژی و سیستم مالی پیشرفت کرد بالطبع آن افرادی حاذق با دانش حسابداری روی کار آمدند. میتوان سیستم اطلاعات مالی را یکی از مهم ترین زیرمجموعه های سیستم مدیران برای ارتقا و رشد کسب و کارها دانست. یک حسابدار خوب باید بتواند در عین بهره گیری از دانش مالی، ادبیات خوبی برای نوشتن صورت های حسابداری داشته باشد تا قابل فهم و پربار باشد. به طور کلی حسابداری اطلاعاتی در زمینه جریان های مالی، درآمدها، سود و زیانها و مالیات شرکت را دسته بندی کرده و در اختیار مدیران سازمان قرار میدهد. این موضوع حتی در محاسبه عیدی بازنشستگان تامین اجتماعی تاثیر بسزایی دارد ولی در این مقاله رویکرد کسب و کارها را در نظر میگیریم. رویکردهای مدیران برای انجام اموری همچون سرمایه گذاری، گسترش کسب وکار یا حتی پرداخت حقوق و دستمزد کارکنان با توجه به این اطلاعات دریافتی جهت میگیرد. به همین دلیل صحت و دقت اطلاعات ارائه شده توسط حسابداران اهمیت بسیار بالایی دارد.
