Philosophy of film" is an independent research knowledge that is classified under the divisions of additional philosophy, under the philosophy of affairs and truths, which specifically considers the ontology of film, and not the philosophy of science, which is the structure of form knowledge. It examines the topic of added philosophy in its surroundings, and it is fundamentally different from the field of philosophy and film, which is an interdisciplinary knowledge between two independent and separate fields of philosophy-film, and is aimed at exploring the relationship between the two. In this article, following the majority of theorists, I assume that film philosophy and film theory can be considered synonymous. The not-so-distant and long history of theorizing in the field of film (about one hundred years old), which in different eras has been called Film Study and Theory of Film, and more recently with the title of Philosophy of Film. It has been mentioned that it is divided into two periods of time: the theories of the classical era and the theories of the contemporary era. What is examined in this article is memory and imagination, depth and movement in classical and contemporary film philosophy.
