In this era, modern organizations focus more on human capital management. Today's
organizations need employees who are not only involved in their work, but also their soul and
mind, so the main goal of this research is to investigate the relationship between leader-member
interaction on self-leadership (case study: representative of Hamgam Khodro companies in
Tehran). This research is applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population of the current
research consisted of the representative employees of Hamgam Khodro companies in Tehran with
the number of 745 people. To determine the size of the research sample based on Cochran's
formula, 253 people were considered as the research sample. Self-leadership and member-leader
interaction questionnaires taken from Sun et al.'s (2022) article were used to examine the research
variables. In order to check the normality of the distribution of the research data, Smirnov's
Kolmograph test was used, due to the non-normality of the data distribution, structural equations
and Smart PLS software were used to check the research hypotheses. The results of the research
showed that the leader-member interaction has a significant effect on self-leadership.
